The Harbinger Society Annual Recognition Dinner celebrates our valued friends and alumni, spotlighting our donor of the year. Each year we invite donors to contribute to special efforts of focus within the school. This year we invite you to support:
SIU School of Medicine Scholarship Endowment - Our country is experiencing a health care provider shortage; this is especially evident in rural Illinois. The majority of our state’s doctors will retire in the next two decades and it takes approximately 12-16 years to produce one doctor. The answer is clear: We need your support to make sure we are sufficiently preparing physicians and health care professionals to meet the demands of our citizens today and tomorrow.
Medical Student Resource Fund - Supporting the Student Resource Fund helps us provide educational and social needs for our medical students that they wouldn't otherwise have. The Student Resource Fund (SRF) was established in 1997 by the SIU School of Medicine Alumni Society Board of Governors to enhance the student experience at SIU School of Medicine.
Dean's Excellence Fund - A gift to the Dean's Excellence Fund is the perfect way to support the initiatives of SIU School of Medicine. Whether patient care, research, medical education or service to the community, the Dean's Excellence Fund helps to provide seed money for all areas of our mission.
