Your gift supports SIU Medicine's Division of Cardiology's mission of sustaining healthy hearts so that loved ones can stay together longer, and find treatments and prevention for heart disease.

SIU Medicine's Division of Cardiology offers comprehensive consultative care for patients with cardiovascular conditions in outpatient and inpatient settings. Once a diagnosis is made, our providers work to establish a treatment care plan in coordination with the primary care provider with the goal for all patients to maintain a full and active lifestyle. We also help to offer guidance on the risks and prevention of many heart conditions, including heart failure, heart disease, heart attack and stroke.

We are also committed to education. SIU has a rich tradition of academic excellence and innovation, which we have continued in the Cardiovascular Disease Fellowship. We have excellent faculty with diverse backgrounds who are dedicated to providing comprehensive training in evidence-based cardiac care. In the spirit of the mission of SIU, the Cardiovascular Disease Fellowship aims to enhance the health care of the people of central and southern Illinois through education, service and scholarship.
